QUICK TIPS:

RESEARCH ARTICLES

  1. Go to Research Databases to find the best resources we have for finding current research articles related to Biology.
  2. When you find an article within the search results, click the FindIt button to see if we have access to the article you want.
  3. If it we do not have access, FindIt will lead you to the InterLibrary Services (ILS) request form and, if you've registered for this service, it will forward your request to ILS.

JOURNAL TITLE

  1. If you have an exact citation for an article use the Snoopy Library Catalog Journal Title Search to see if we have access to it.
  2.

  3. If the journal title is not available, request through ILS

Most articles arrive elecronically and are posted to a website for you to pick up.

Occasionally, we can only get an article in print.

Remember to specify "distance education" in the "Notes" field of your requests if you are unable to come to campus to pick up

print copies, so that we can cancel such requests and notify you.

BOOKS

  1. Search the Snoopy Library Catalog to find books available in the SSU library.
  2.

  3. If you don't find what you need in our library, search LINK+ to see if a book is available through one of our 40+ partner libraries. SSU students, faculty and staff can request the item directly and have it sent to the Library via courier, usually within 3-4 days.
  4.

  5. If not available through LINK+, request through ILS.
  6.
