What is ScholarWorks?

ScholarWorks is a shared institutional repository that collects, preserves, and provides access to scholarship by research communities at The California State University. Collections include CSU faculty publications, student dissertations and theses, datasets, and teaching materials.

All formal graduate theses and creative projects require review by the Office of Graduate Studies and will be cataloged at the Library.  Learn more about deadlines, policies, and procedures for graduate students through the Office of Graduate Studies.

Sonoma State University Library keeps a copy of all Master's theses that are completed. These theses are available in ScholarWorks as well as in a physical collection on the third floor of the library

Why ScholarWorks?

Sharing your work in a statewide institutional repository has a number of benefits, including:

  • Greater visibility: Freely share your work alongside CSU peers for a global audience. Increase your readership, citation counts, and impact in your field.
  • Persistent URL: You, friends, family, and scholars will always be able to find your work.
  • Long-term preservation: ScholarWorks is maintained by experts in the Library who are committed to consistent, perpetual access as systems and standards change over time.
