Web Tools for your Classroom

Join us for a new series of 30 minute drop-in workshops for instructors to discover and explore web 2.0 technology tools that can enhance course curriculum, inspire new assignment options, and create opportunities to engage students in an online environment.

What is web 2.0?
Web 2.0 technology is characterized by resources that facilitate communication, information sharing, and collaboration.

Fall 2009 Teaching 2.0 Topics:

Presentations 2.0
Discover web tools for presenting and sharing instruction materials with your students both online and in the classroom. Do you assign presentations??? Explore some alternatives to PowerPoint that can encourage your students to create innovative presentations that utilize today’s dynamic collaborative web.

Brainstorming 2.0
Explore brainstorming web tools that can help spark ideas, organize information, create new connections, and propel thinking. These mind map tools are easily created, edited and shared in your classroom and beyond, and are guaranteed to jumpstart student papers & projects.

Google Books
Discover what Google Books can do for both you and your students! Learn search tips and tricks, explore different levels of content access, and hear more on the recent agreement between publishing companies and Google.
