Tests and Measurements
Why is it so difficult to find the actual psychological tests?
A few reasons:
- Overexposure of the tests could allow the test-takers to see the material before the test and make the results less reliable.
- Test-givers need to have certain credentials and so the release of tests is privileged materials.
- They are the intellectual property of authors and writers and require the purchase of the tests.
Where can you find information about tests?
- Mental Measurements Yearbook Provides test reviews on selected tests from Tests in Print. Designed to promote informed test selection. Gives more information on specific tests; does not give actual tests.
- Tests in Print Comprehensive list of commercial tests currently available in the English Language. Includes information on purpose, publisher, price, intended population, publication dates, authors & a score index of what is being measured. Does not include actual test!
