Search OneSearch for books, media, articles, primary sources, newspapers, journals, and more. Selecting CSU+ will allow you to search across all CSU libraries and request items we don't have.
OneSearch also allows you to search for items from other CSU libraries. Choose CSU+ instead of SSU Library from the dropdown menu to the left of the search bar.
This will show you book and media results from other campuses, and allow you to request them to be delivered here. You'll need to be signed in to place a request. Most items take around 2 days to arrive.
When you're searching OneSearch for articles, it's possible to expand your search to see articles for which we don't have full text here at SSU. If you find an article you want but don't have access to, you can request it via Interlibrary Loan. Look for the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) link (you must be logged in to see the ILL link).
Getting articles from ILL couldn't be easier. It usually takes about 24 hours (and sometimes a lot less), and the article will be available digitally. You'll get an email when it's available to be downloaded from the ILL website.
Most scholarly research is published in academic journals. You can access journal articles through OneSearch or by searching in subject-specific databases.
The database you search will depend on what kind of information you're trying to find.
If you are doing literary analysis or are looking for information about particular authors or texts, check out one of our literature-focused databases.
If you're looking for information on current events, you might want to search our newspaper databases.
If you're doing social science research, you may want to search in one of these databases.
We also have several databases for primary source and oral history research.
